Foresail-1p will be launched on 28 November (updated)
The next Finnish satellite, Foresail-1p, developed at Aalto University as part of the FORESAIL research project, will be launched into space on Wednesday 28 November in the evening Finnish time. The launch, originally planned for 11 November, has been delayed several times.
The satellite will be carried by SpaceX's Falcon 9 Transporter-15 mission, which includes around a hundred other small satellites. One of them is a radar satellite built by Finnish ICEYE for the Polish armed forces.
The video below provides more information about the Foresail-1p satellite, which continues the work of the Foresail-1 satellite that shut down too early in space.
Compared to its predecessor, the satellite has several improvements, as Topi Räty explains in the video.
