Call for 2026 CASSINI Challenges innovation competition is on!
CASSINI Challenges is an innovation competition organised by the European Union, aiming to promote the use of space technologies and data in new business solutions. The competition is part of the EU’s broader CASSINI initiative, which seeks to strengthen Europe’s space sector competitiveness and support start-ups, SMEs, and entrepreneurs.
CASSINI Challenges encourages the development of solutions that make use of EU space programme services such as Galileo satellite navigation, Copernicus Earth observation data, and other space-based services. These solutions may address areas including transport, environmental monitoring, security, energy, and smart cities.
Submitted ideas are evaluated based on criteria such as innovation, technical feasibility, and commercial potential. The best teams are awarded funding and gain visibility as well as support for further developing their solutions. CASSINI Challenges serves as an important bridge between space technology and tangible societal and economic benefits.
